Creating a successful schedule
And learning to how to plan your life stress-free
Keeping on a good schedule is not easy for anyone to achieve. Many people I work with, struggle to have a good schedule and a good daily routine. It’s very common to over pack your schedule with activities, making it impossible to achieve everything on your task list. This creates an overabundance of stress and anxiety. With a few changes to your current routine, you can make huge changes to your stress level.
Let’s see how you can build a schedule that you can handle and feel good about following daily.
Don’t overwhelm yourself
Stop filling in your schedule, so you feel anxious and overwhelmed. Begin putting your priorities first, such as your saving goals, mental health or family. Practice saying no to commitments that don’t benefit your priorities.
Schedule in free time for yourself
Make sure you have a solid routine that allows you to have extra time to relax. It’s important to have time to unwind during your week and weekend. Find activities that make you feel satisfied and happy. Step away from screens, and create new, better hobbies.
Do a hobby that fulfills you.
Stop wasting time in front of your TV or computer. Screens do not allow your brain to unwind and reset. Try Reading a book, going for a walk, cleaning and organizing (which can be relaxing for some people) knitting or working out. Any hobby will fulfill you more then watching TV or scrolling through your phone.
Stay motivated by having your goals visible in your home
Having a vision board, will help you concentrate on your goals and achieve them faster. I write my goals into my planner, and track when they’re completed. I will usually give myself a small reward once they’re done. Break down your long term goals into smaller goals, to help you focus on them more and accomplish more over a shorter time period.
Write out your schedule and check it often
Get yourself a planner. One that you can write in daily. Take down the important tasks that you need to finish each day. Check your planner at least three times in a day, so you stay motivated to complete tasks, in the morning, at lunch and in the evening. This will motivate you to complete more of your tasks.
Leave time in between meetings/events
Leave yourself time to drive to different locations, or reset before your next meeting. Give yourself 15 minutes to regroup then start a new tasks. Don’t get distracted by social media during these time, instead, get up and walk around a bit.
Find the enjoy in everyday activities.
Learn to enjoy the simple pleasures in life. Enjoying your daily tasks will help you feel more relaxed and happy in your life. It will help you to stay on your schedule, since you’ll be enjoying your daily tasks and routines.
Now let’s write your new schedule.
Give yourself more free time by leaving out social media and scrolling through your TV. In the long run, you won’t miss your TV or phone, so don’t worry about missing out on any shows or memes.
Which way is best for you to use?
